Happy Thanksgiving!

Meredith and I were sporting the same Thanksgiving hair-do.



We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We started the day with having my family come over to cook, which turned out to be a lot of fun. Jeremy didn't have any cooking to do, so he made his own fun taking pictures of himself.

Fun with the Pascarella's

Jeremy and Josh went out to help Grandma and Grandad with the Christmas display, so the kids and I spent the day with the Pascarella's. They had a blast and were totally exhausted by the time we left. Jacob was begging to stay, though.

Jake's Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

There's nothing cuter than seeing a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds sing songs together! Jacob, however, looked like he would have rather been getting teeth pulled than up there with his classmates. When the performance was finished, I asked Jake why he wouldn't sing and he said it was because he was afraid that we would hear him. :)

Future Hockey Star

Maybe it's because I'm his mom, but in my opinion, Rudy has natural talent for any sport he tries. We played some hockey this morning and I was impressed!!! I told Jeremy that Rudy would make a great athlete and Jake would make a great coach. That kid loves to make up rules. He prefers to make up rules and tell you how to play the game rather than play it. :)

OMG! Jeremy is doing dishes!!!

I must give credit were credit is due...Jeremy is VERY helpful around the house. But, it's not often that I see him doing dishes, so I thought this picture had to go on the blog. :)

You'll notice that I'm wearing Jeremy's coat in the house...that's because he refuses to turn the heat up and I'm always FREEZING!!!!!!! At least our kids will have funny stories to tell when they grow up...kind of like the stories we all tell about how freakin' hot our houses were in the summer and our parents (you know who you are....) wouldn't turn on the a/c.

I believe Tammy has one of the best about her and her 3 siblings sleeping in the hallway in front of a box fan because they were so hot. :)

Happy 55th Birthday Grandpa!

Tonight we had a birthday dinner for Joe. Jacob, Rudy, and Joe always play so rough that by the time Joe leaves, Jacob can't breathe. We just finished up a breathing treatment and all is well. :)

Jake worked really hard wrapping his Grandpa's present. I'm pretty sure he used an entire roll of tape and about 30 pieces of construction paper.

We found tonight that...if Jake inhereted his Redneck tendencies from Amanda, he definitely got his amazing Nintendo skills from Meredith. She wouldn't allow us to take a video of her tongue hanging out and her leg involuntarily kicking around. (I'll get a good shot of her one of these days when she's not paying attention....Beware Meme....)

Just a side note.....Jake told me a funny story when I was putting him in bed...

According to Jake, if he drinks milk, then hair will be in his poop. It turns out that when I was at school this morning, Jacob got a piece of hair in his mouth (which normally causes a major scene in our house). Jeremy got him a drink of milk to wash it down, but Jake was worried that the hair would be in his stomach. Jeremy eased those worries by telling him that the hair would go into his poop. So......now it all makes sense! I love having conversations with a 4 year old! :)

Jake wins Nintendo!!!

I had to put up this video of Jake playing Nintendo. He's too cute!

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treating was really fun this year. Jake is finally getting the hang of it, so he went running from house to house ringing doorbells, which meant Rudy went running too! At a couple houses I overheard Rudy saying, "trick or treat!" and the person would give him candy, then he would say "more???" What a turd!!!!

We had a fun slumber party planned for that night, but the kids both had meltdowns as soon as we got home. Needless to say, we had to postpone the slumber party to the next night.

As for the homemade trick-or-treat bags......mommy didn't do such a good job. They looked really cute until about the 5th house. They had ripped and the kids had to trick-or-treat with plastic walmart bags. :)

The boys' costumes turned out really cute. I had planned on them being Oompa Loompa's, but Jeremy thought it was dumb and Jake wanted to be a slice of cheese (???), so they ended up with these precious lion and elephant costumes. Maybe next year I'll work on the Oompa Loompa's again. :)

Hershey's Chocolate World

We had been planning to take the kids to Hershey's Chocolate World for a couple weeks, so on Monday morning, we woke up early (early according to the Ganns) and drove for 3 1/2 hours. It was well worth it! We rode the chocolate tour ride 3 times and saw the 3D movie. Jake said that the 3D movie scared him...I think it's because the seats shook and at times, we got sprayed with a little water.

All of us ate way too much candy. Even Jake said that next time we go he wants "to tell the guy to stop giving us so much candy."

I never thought I'd hear those words from his mouth!!!

It was a great time and we're looking forward to going back...Plus I saw several RV dealers on the way!!!!!!! hehehe

What to do when the kids are bored...

Give them pudding!!!!! It's been a boring, rainy day and I could see that the kids need something fun to do. I took an idea from Jon & Kate Plus 8 and decided to let the kids go to town in the shower with a bowl full of chocolate pudding. They had a great time and asked if they could do it again when Daddy gets home.

This is my first blog and I have no idea how to rearrange the pictures to make it look nice, so please excuse me. I'll learn it eventually!
